Cass’s work begins with attention. Drawn to light, atmosphere, small details and the rhythms of the natural world, she moves between photography, painting, mixed media and writing as each idea asks for a different form.

Rather than treating these as separate creative practices, Cass sees them as part of the same exploration — a way of following curiosity, slowing down and noticing what might otherwise pass unseen.

Her work is less about recording a place exactly as it is and more about capturing the feeling of being there: the hush, the light, the texture, the memory.
