Go With the Flow

"Go with the flow"
Captured at Mt Wilson,
Blue Mountains, NSW.
Description
“Go With the Flow” is a soothing slow-shutter capture created deep within the rainforest at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains National Park.
After a sweaty hike on an overly hot summer’s day, I found myself leaning out over the waterfall, using the movement and cool mist to bring a bit of natural relief. The silky water and rich greens wrap the scene in calmness — a gentle reminder to breathe and, quite literally, go with the flow
📖The Story Behind the Shot
This one came to life after a hot, humid trek where the shade of the rainforest felt like a gift. The cicadas were deafening, the air thick, and that distant rumble of falling water became the motivation to push deeper into the valley.
Reaching the falls, I positioned myself just over the edge, capturing the long exposure that gives the water its soft, dreamy texture. Standing there — shirt sticking, sweat dripping — the cool spray from the cascade finally offered a moment of relief.
That contrast between the harsh summer heat and the calm rush of the falls is exactly what I wanted the final image to express: peace waiting at the end of effort.
