"Turning Turon Autumn"

This image was shot while travelling with Trax & Pix at the end of February 2023. While still technically Summer, Autumn had certainly started to change the landscape.

Setting an early wake up alarm I ventured out to shoot the Turon River in the old gold mining town of Sofala. Sofala live dup to its golden history with the sun casting gold beams across the river and the single tree on the embankment radiating hues of gold. 

A light mist drifted across the water from the shadows out to the full sunshine. As the sun crept across the water I could feel the early touches of Autumn air give way to the hot thick air of Summer.
