Geoff Barlow is an Australian landscape artist with a strong affinity for the natural environment, from the coast to the country. Working in oils, acrylics and mixed media, he brings decades of creative experience to paintings shaped by atmosphere, light, colour and a deep connection to place.
Before focusing more closely on landscape painting, Geoff built a long career in graphic design and marketing, including work across the recorded music and video industries. That design background continues to inform the balance, structure and visual clarity within his paintings.
Geoff draws inspiration from coastal environments and rural country scenes, using fresh colour and varied palettes to express changing light — from soft, quiet hues through to dramatic contrast. His work moves across realist, impressionist and semi-abstract approaches, allowing form and texture to suggest rather than explain every detail.
His paintings have been exhibited and recognised in art shows across New South Wales, including award-winning works. Dramatic skies, cloud formations, depth and strong focal points are recurring elements, inviting the viewer to bring their own imagination and experience to the scene.
