"Ocean Clouds"

"Ocean Clouds" was shot early morning on Turrimetta Beach, Narrabeen. Shooting with a very long exposure and neutral density filters the end result creates the effect of clouds and mountain ranges.

On opening the image on the computer back in the studio it looked like clouds wrapping around mountain tops. On first glance it was an optical illusion. Trees appear to reach above the clouds, the sun rising in the distance.

The image is a rock shelf covered in barnacles, with the falling tide washing over & around the formations. The calmness of the ocean brings calmness to the viewer, despite the amount of water washing around and the time it has taken to capture the image.

The more you look into the image the more if revealed and the viewer taken on the journey of discovery.

This Limited Edition Print of "Ocean Clouds" was entered in the Australian Landscape Awards and was recognised by peers as being Highly Commended. Judged among thousands of images it is an honour to have an image recognised by peers at this level.

The image is limited to a total of 50 prints (total number of prints in any size); each numbered, signed and with a certificate of authenticity. Printed using Epson inks and Fine Art Photographic Paper, the image is sealed with Hahnemühle Protective Spray to preserve the colours and inks, protecting from dust and finger prints.
